Oakmoor School Celebrates Best-Ever GCSE Results!

Oakmoor School is celebrating a historic year of GCSE success, with students achieving the strongest results in the school's history across a range of key measures.

Students collected their results today following months of hard work and dedication, and there was plenty to celebrate as this year's cohort delivered exceptional outcomes.

The school achieved its highest-ever Attainment 8 score, alongside the highest percentage of students attaining a Grade 5 or above in both English and Mathematics. In addition, an impressive 11 subject areas recorded their best results on record, reflecting outstanding achievement across the curriculum.

Further milestones were reached with Oakmoor recording the highest proportion of grades 9-4, 9-5 and 9-7 across all subjects in the school's history.

These record-breaking outcomes are the result of the commitment, resilience and determination shown by students throughout their time at Oakmoor, supported every step of the way by dedicated staff, parents and carers.

A Remarkable Achievement

Headteacher Nigel Wright praised the achievements of students and recognised the significant progress made by the year group.

"I am incredibly proud of all our students and would like to congratulate every one of them on their achievements. It has been wonderful to see so many smiling faces in school today as students celebrated the results of their hard work and commitment.

What makes these results particularly special is the remarkable progress this year group has made in a relatively short period of time. Their improvement is a testament to their attitude, application and determination to succeed. They have embraced every opportunity, worked hard to overcome challenges and fully deserve this success.

To achieve the highest Attainment 8 score in the school's history, alongside record-breaking outcomes in English and Mathematics and across so many subject areas, is a tremendous accomplishment. We are incredibly proud of what this year group has achieved and look forward to seeing them continue to thrive as they move on to the next stage of their education, training and careers."
